The owner, Melanie Walker, grew up in rural Ottawa, ON, Canada surrounded by pet animals (cats, dogs, ducks, rabbits). She believes that caging cats is the most stressful, least humane option for boarding animals. After 1 1/2 years offering an in-house pet sitting service, she decided that it was better to leave cats in their home versus leaving them in a cage, but she felt that, this too, had many drawbacks.
After much reflection, she concluded that a Cagefree, high stimulation, low stress environment would be the best option. This, she felt, would yield the best results for thecats and their people, hence in 2001, the Pet Bed and Breakfast Inc. was born.
This unique 2 storey Cat Boarding Kennel is over 2000 square feet in size. There are 3 distinct areas: a group play area for indoor cats, one for indoor/outdoor cats and individual rooms (not cages), which are reserved for special needs cats and/or small animals.
The entire Cat Boarding Kennel was designed and built with plenty of height, carpeted climbing structures and private hiding spots in mind. Beautiful ceramic tile, sunny windows, french doors and music work together to create a relaxing ambience. A spacious open concept design enhances the soothing atmosphere. Modern decor and lots of color add to the down-home feel of the place.
Melanie and her staff, offer a very clean, loving, safe and modern environment for all of the cats and small animals.

A Door-to-Door Service is Available at additional cost.
The customer rates as of September 1st, 2009 are:
For one cat or small animal, per household: $19/night/plus 13% HST, regardless of length of stay.
For multiple cats/small animals, per household: $16 each animal/per night/plus 13% HST, regardless of length of stay. There is an additional charge for administering medications.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I have greatly reduced the number of cats that I accept at one time, by less than half. I feel that we don't have adequate time to spend with each cat when we are operating at our top end capacity.
The cost for Small Animals is the same as for Cats. Individual Rooms are required for Small Animals. Rooms are subject to availability.
